The 2021 Virtual Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival

It is the mission of the Kaneland Arts Initiative to encourage people's involvement in, appreciation of, and support for artistic endeavors and to foster the development of artistic abilities. That mission has been upheld for over 20 years as we have presented the annual Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival. We mourned 2020's quarantine as we canceled the Festival, but in 2021, the fantastic Fine Arts Faculty submitted over 600 pieces of artwork so that we may again celebrate the Arts at the Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival. As one can imagine, the showcase was presented virtually to accommodate the pandemic guidelines, but KAI was thrilled that the artwork of our amazing Kaneland students was presented virtually, thereby lasting eternally, here, on the KAI webpage as a reminder of how the creative arts persevered through this difficult time.

The 2021 Kaneland Community Virtual Fine Arts Festival is available to view. The gallery of student artwork is joined by the spotlights of beloved KAI artists and the announcement of KAI's scholarship winners of the Theresa Funke Memorial Fine Arts Scholarship and the Diane McFarlin Artfully Passionate Scholarship from 2021. KAI would like to thank the Kaneland art teachers for their fine work guiding their students through a very difficult year: Kara Berth, Erin Damish, Suzanne Farr, Carleen Gregg, Colleen Grigg, John Purnell, Laurel Scigouski, and Emily Van Delinder-Birchfield, We congratulate all of the 2021 Kaneland Community Fine Arts Festival artists!
