Theatre Audition Best Practices

For 12 - 18 years Old

Join Ben Rogers and Diane McFarlin as they talk about what it takes to audition for a play or musical. 

Bring sheet music of your favorite song for the workshop and your questions about the best practices in theatre! 

Ben and Diane will be talking specifically about the KAI Summer Musical auditions in May.

Workshop takes place in the KHS Black Box Theatre.

This workshop is FREE to any 12 - 18 year old, up to 10 participants!  Spaces are limited!  Sign up today!

KAI Rocks the Runway!

Costume Design Crash Course

For High school students and up

3:00 - 4:00 pm

Walk through iconic eras, visit different cultures, see how an artist may approach recreating the clothing and aesthetics within.  Attempt the sculptural art that is costume contruction and deign with unconventional materials.  Rock the Runway!

Supplies will be provided.

Benjamin Rogers is a graduate in costume design from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. He has worked for The Phantom of the Opera International Tour, The Municipal Theatre of St. Louis, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, and Opera Theatre St. Louis. Past works include design, construction, and wardrobe, for shows such as Brigadoon, As You Like iI, She Kills Monsters, Three Sisters, Men on Boats, The Fantastics, Bombitty of Errors, The Musical Annie, The Wiz, Singing in the Rain, Meet me in St. Louis, Jersey Boys, Gypsy, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast.

This workshop is appropriate for high school aged and up.
